This month, I talk about the impact of terrorism on our economy and what that may mean for our economic outlook. The outlook looks great for our gold holdings
and I think you should add to them. There are other commodities that are cheap right now, which I think you should look into. Plus, I have some good ideas
for new money and a new addition to the Common Stocks Monster Master List. Also, since the issue went to print, one of my buy recommendations is no longer
a buy based on our updated charts. Don’t miss this update in the November issue. Make it a good month.

Simple is Sophisticated is my theme for you this month. In this issue, I offer you a new one-stock program that I think may appeal to those of you interested in a shorter timeframe than my usual buy it and forget it strategy. Also this month I cover a lot of ground on mutual fund investing and where you should put new money today. Plus, I talk about some of our Monster Master List companies and what recent news stories mean for your investments. Make it a good month.

Where do you put your money today? This month, I still have gold at the top of my list. In fact, there is a new offering from the U.S. government that I think you should buy. Also, the long-term increase trend in the Canadian dollar bodes well for our Canadian investments so I have two new funds from Canada that I want you to add to your equities positions as well. Plus, in my Monster List, I am bringing back one of my favorites, and I have breaking news that shows a strong future for this company’s new product line. Make it a good month.

It’s all about the oil. This month’s issue focuses on the United States’` dependency on oil and what this means for our investments. I offer four powerful considerations for you to factor into your investment thinking and a number of ways to protect your investments over the long-term. The strongest way to protect yourself is to invest in the companies that are part of our alternative energy future, such as the four new utility companies I want you to add to your portfolios this month. Plus, there are a few blue chips making bets on alternative energy and energy efficiency that are buys as well. Be sure to read this important issue!

Discipline and patience were two things that the Boston Red Sox could have used in the 2003 Championship Series against the Yankees. And we preach about both everyday here at Intelligence Report — discipline to stay true to our diversified portfolio and the patience to keep our focus on the long term. This approach made us successful in 2005 and will continue to help us profit in the future. This month I discuss some of our successes from the past year as well as answer a number of your questions. I also provide you with a few opportunities to help your IRAs in the next year. As we continue in the New Year, be sure to read this month’s issue for my latest advice.

Harley Davidson is back in a big way! There are many facets to the Harley story, and this month I cover them all and give you an in-depth analysis of why I think Harley is a good buy now. In addition there are some other events taking place that will help make your investing decisions easier. For example, in October’s issue I told you to buy Placer Dome (NYSE: PDG) well, I hope you listened. Read the issue and find out why. There is another company takeover to consider and I give you both potential suitors. And do not forget preferred stocks (don’t worry I won’t let you). I have some quality new issues to add to your list now. These topics and many more are covered in this month’s issue. Remember you need to focus, and take immediate action, to continue to be successful. I am committed to helping you achieve your investment goals, and if you have followed my battle plan throughout 2005 you have a lot to cheer about.

High water is the theme of this month’s issue as I analyze hurricane-related issues and why they are vital for you when considering my Big Idea. You should also focus on the following points when considering the future: income, migration and leisure. I discuss each of these issues for you this month, as well as, what is working for us. While this has been a down year for most if you have followed our plan, you are having a darn nice year. All my balanced funds and fixed income funds are up for the year. And there are some I would consider cheap funds and stocks that I want you to focus on, especially Vanguard funds and commodities — gold, aluminum, nickel, and uranium. There is much to cover this month but if you remain focused and take immediate action, you will continue to be successful.

In this month’s issue I focus on the effects of Hurricane Katrina and what it means for your investments and for the U.S. economy. No matter the outlook, your investment strategy need not be altered, as I have been guiding you in the direction of a fully counterbalanced portfolio capable of riding out even catastrophic events like Katrina. Remember a conservative approach to investing wins. I devote the bulk of this issue to review our portfolios and what kind of return you need to plan for. And as promised I’ve included my end-of-summer “Mostly Stocks” section, which provides intelligence on many of our Monster Master List names. You must act now to take care of your portfolio as I have been stressing for the past few months.

1948 was the beginning for the greatest jazz vocal group in history, the Four Freshman. Even today there is Four Freshman vocal group still maintaining great harmony and overtones–much like my favorite Third Avenue funds. Two of my favorite funds closed, but Third Avenue does have two value funds that you should take action on after you read this issue. I discuss what I believe are the three ways we can end the U.S. trade deficit and cope with the impact of a much cheaper U.S. dollar. I also revisit my Picks & Shovels strategy involving investing outside of China. I have two funds that are the right call for this Far East investment strategy. This month I have added four stocks to my list and eliminated some as well, so be sure to review. Lastly be sure to check out my new Perspective box, it will help you plan the rest of your investing year.
